Reviews about the book:
Srimad Bhagavad Gita Vedanta Keasri, July 2007
‘The teachings of Krishna as taught by the Gita are the grandest the world has ever known,’ says Swami Vivekananda…Gita is the quintessential of all Upanishads. Its integral approach encompasses every sphere of life…Though it maps out the path, it does not build walls or hedges to confine our vision…the author describes diverse views regarding the essence of Gita…selection of 90 verses…7 chapters. The book follows a free translation…which by no means conveys the essential meaning…the author remarks (referring Gita 5.2) that some of these verses were…to advocate importance of life of householder. In the Gita, however, one finds no such attempt…the author points out what may be considered as the gist of surrender…The book will stimulate greater interest in the study of the Gita.
