For man, life has always been the greatest teacher.
But reading about the thoughts and writings of others remains one of the best learning experiences.
The wise and witty quotes in this book can teach one more in a few hours than a lifetime of bumbling around.
Many of the quotes are uncommon and will not have been read before by most readers.
The book also includes meaningful proverbs, poems and limericks. However the focus of this book remains more on animals, nature and man.
Many quotes stress the importance of compassion towards all our fellow creatures that inhabit the earth.
The source of quotations remains celebrities down the ages, including, authors, poets, presidents, musicians, film stars, humorists and others.
About the author:
For the 36-year-old author collecting quotations has been a childhood hobby, while poetry has been a passion since his teens.

An M.A in Sociology, the author also has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Post-graduate diplomas in Journalism and Mass Media.
Rao is currently based in Hyderabad, where he works as a freelance journalist.
Preface:
A book of witty and wise quotes can, at times, teach one much more in a few hours than a lifetime of bumbling around. Many a times, we come across witty quotes and sayings that are soon forgotten. It was these thoughts that prompted me to compile a book of the most witty and wise quotes and proverbs that I had come across.
The focus of this book, though, is more on animals, nature and man. Many quotes of the rich and famous stress the importance of compassion towards all our fellow creatures that inhabit the earth.
I sincerely hope that the words of wit and wisdom contained in this book will prompt readers to display more compassion towards all living beings.
The quotes have been culled from many different sources and my sincere thanks to all the previous compilers and authors.
