Ghost of an Eternal Beauty
Marilyn Monroe is one of the biggest stars ever created by Hollywood. She was introduced to the psychic by the actor Clifton Webb. Kenny Kingston and Monroe eventually struck up a close friendship with a mutual interest in
psychic phenomena and spiritual guides. Marilyn Monroe also visited many other astrologers, mediums and psychics. The psychic Kenny Kingston says: “Whenever Marilyn needed detailed psychic advice, she would see me in person.”
It is claimed that Marilyn Monroe’s Ghost now haunts the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. At the height of Marilyn Monroe’s fame, she often stayed at the hotel where her ghostly image is seen in a full-length mirror that once hung in her poolside suite. (The mirror has been relocated to the hotel’s lower level by the elevators.)
The ghost mirror now hangs in the lobby where many people claim to see her image gazing through the glass. The ghost of Marilyn Monroe has also been seen hovering near her tomb at Westwood Memorial Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. It is also said to haunt the house in Brentwood where she died and hovers over the exact spot where she took the fatal dose of sleeping tablets. Some psychics have claimed that Marilyn Monroes’s death was not a suicide but an accident.
Lux Meow clicked a very thought-provoking snapshot taken at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, capturing possibly the ghost of Marilyn Monroe. It is a reflection of a door in the background, but still it captures the likeness of the famous star of the silver screen: As recalled by him, “I was staying at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. So my friend and I decided to go around and take some pictures in the mezzanine area near this mirror that used to be in one of the suites but was instead moved down to the lobby area because a lady had claimed she saw Marilyn appear in it (which was the former room Marilyn Monroe would stay when she was alive).
So we took pictures with my Polaroid and a digital camera around that area, and also up the hall and into a ballroom which was pretty dark. After taking the Polaroid, we went back to the room. The photo we had recently taken of me in the ballroom had been developing weird, like the shape of a person; and not as I was posed. So we thought it wouldn’t turn out. Then when it did, to our surprise there were strange lights in the form of a frame just behind me on the door. In the middle was a face whose features resemble that of Marilyn Monroe in ghost form.
On August 4th, 1962, Monroe slipped into a coma taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She died the next day. While the coroner listed the death as a suicide, many believe it was an accident that her life was taken. Others are more skeptical and believe that a conspiracy existed that may have something to do with one or more Kennedy’s family members. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is rather busy when it comes to ghostly encounters. On the premises, some claim that the ghost of Montgomery Clift (who appeared in the movie, The Misfits with Monroe) has made himself known throughout certain parts of the hotel. The two were very affable and understood one another quite
well while working together on the set of the Misfits movie.
