How do I find an item I am looking
for?
Pustakmahal.com's powerful search engine makes it easy to find exactly what
you are looking for. To find your item, you can use "Search Box"
present on the home page or any of the subsequent pages. Just click on the
subject of your interest. You can search your desired book on any criterion
like Title, Author, ISBN, Description, Others
What is ISBN?
ISBN stands for "International Standard Book Number." Every book
sold anywhere in the world should have a unique ISBN, meaning you can find
any book in the world simply with that one number, which is never duplicated.
It's a 10-digit identification system. The ISBN refers to the specific edition
(e.g. trade paperback, mass market paperback) and is usually located on the
back of the book and on the copyright page.
Why do some book titles appear more
than once in a search result?
Some book titles are shown twice or thrice in a single search results because
of various reasons. The same title could be available for a different price
internationally and it could also be available at a special price. Or the
same title could be available in paperback as well as hardcover versions.
Or the same title could be available in different editions or even in different languages. All you need to
do is select the one that suits you the best.
General Search Tips
Quick Search and Advanced Search both search our entire book catalogue.
Quick Search is a single-field search. Advanced Search allows you to search
on multiple fields and apply search filters.
Searching by Title
Enter all or part of the title you are looking for. You can leave out words
such as "a", "an," or "the." The search engine
will try to find books that have all the words you entered in the title. If
no books are found with all the words, the search engine will try to find
books with some of the words.
Searching by Author
Enter all or part of the author name you are looking for. You do not need
to enter a first name, but if there are many books by authors with the same
last name it may help to limit the results. You can enter a name as Mohit
Kumar.
Searching by Keyword
The keyword search looks for all the words you entered relating to the title,
author, subjects, and categories of books. For example, if you search on "Self
Letter Drafting Course," the search results page will display all books
that contain " Self Letter Drafting Course" in the title or author
name, and are about the " Self Letter Drafting Course." You can
be as general (e.g., "Cooking") or as specific (e.g., "Italian
Baking") as you wish. Be aware that if you select "keyword,"
your search results may be very long. You should choose title or author if
you know that is what you are looking for.
Formatting Your Search
It is not necessary to use any special characters in formatting your search.
Simply enter the words you are looking for. Quotation marks, plus signs, or
Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) will be ignored by the search engine.
The search engine is case-insensitive. You can enter your search in all capitals,
all lowercase, or mixed case.

your search, you 'll be notified. Click on the title of the book to read more
